Provide shade for your plants

The sun is necessary when we want the greenhouse to sprout and blossom, but the life-giving yellow rays can mean death and torture for the plants. In other words, you need to be able to block the sun in the summer, where the greenhouse gets too hot.

There are different ways to protect plants. Firstly, it depends on what the greenhouse is made of, polycarbonate or glass. Polycarbonate in itself blocks the sun and there is no additional need for shadow. If the greenhouse is made of glass, which many chooses if they want to use the greenhouse as a conservatory, there is a need for blocking the sun and heat during the summer.

There are different ways of blocking the sun in the greenhouse

Shade netting

Juliana shade netting is a flexible solution, which makes it easy to adjust how much sunlight you want in the greenhouse. The shade netting is attached to spacers which are easily installed in the profiles of the greenhouse.

Shade paste

Juliana shade paste is applied with a paintbrush or paint roller on the exterior of the greenhouse. Shade paste is an easy and affordable solution. The paste is diluted with water and applied on the greenhouse. It needs to be washed off if you want to remove the covering, so it’s not as flexible as the shade netting.
